First and foremost, we need you to be in contact with your legislators at EVERY level of government (because how are they going to know what you think if you don’t tell ‘em?). This means emails, phone calls, faxes, postcards, and any other way you can get your message to them.
A second thing that can be helpful is writing letters to the editor of the newspaper. We need to show them and their readers that there are lots of us like-minded conservatives out there, all with our own takes on the issues.
Another way you can get involved is to participate in any of the committees we have set up. Below are each of them with a description of their function. To join a committee, hop over to the contact page and send us a quick note letting us know what you’d like to help with.
Watchdog Committee
This committee would attend the local meetings of government groups such as City Council, Commissioner’s Court, school boards, and other local meetings as needed. A short report on the meeting results would be needed so we can report this information to the group.
Legislative Committee
This committee would use the Internet or newspapers to monitor the status of state and national legislation that is under consideration or to be voted on. Any other interesting legislation that is being discussed would also be of interest. A short report or discussion of the legislation status would be needed so we can provide the information to our group.

I worked several hours today on getting our voice heard. I sent 2 faxes (One for me and one for Charlie) to 9 differents ‘swing’ senators ( incidently, Olympia Snowe would not receive any faxes all day! Fax machine wore out? Maybe burned up with all her constituants’ complaints?!:-)
I called all our TX Senators (neither line was ever available for messages), Baucus’ office (busy all day…Good!), and Congressional Finance Office (was able to leave a message).
Yesterday I e-mailed fax information to 3 friends who requested it and today sent attachment sample letters plus fax info. to a neighbor.
I prayed for all these people as I worked on their cover pages and faxes and made the phone calls. It did my heart good to know I worked and prayed in hopes of stopping a really bad thing for our country. I will continue to pray as we see how all this works out.
Let me know what else to do, and I will do it. I think perhaps we need a fax workshop….you know, help people get their basic letters written up. Get fax information in hand. Many want so badly to help and don’t quite know how to do it. Let’s work together. We have MANY MORE ISSUES AHEAD!!!
The truth is the community organizer organized his community….a long time ago. We’re a little bit behind, but we will get organized too and our voice is louder because we make up the majority of Americans! Pass it on. And PRAY EVERY DAY!
