THE GREEK MODEL

It was a good idea to get science and democracy from the ancient Greeks.  It is not such a good idea to get fiscal policy from the modern Greeks.  However, that is the way we are headed, says David Boaz, executive vice president of the Cato Institute.

In search of an Obama doctrine

Signature foreign policies often define presidencies. For Ronald Reagan, it was standing up to communism and advocating “peace through strength.” For Bill Clinton, it was sponsoring humanitarian interventions in the former Yugoslavia. For George W.
